The needs of our community and the necessary demands that itt puts on our resources means that we always need more members. If you are the type of person who loves to be up front and involved or if you would prefer to be less visible then there is an opening in the Maghull and District ions Club which is just right for you.
What we do!
Lions clubs around the world seek to serve the communities where they live. Our club meets every month on the third Tuesday with the meetings starting at 8 pm. We hold regular social events, we assist at public functions, run family fun days, organize hanging basket and planter sales all of which are to raise funds.
Making new Friends!
As a member of a Lions club you will be meeting and working along with others who share your compassion for your community. Serving together with other Lions can build friendships that last a lifetime.

Developing young leaders!
Have you gained experiences in life which have shaped you? Why not pass on the benefit of your life skills, thoughts and knowledge to the young leaders of tomorrow. Lions come in all ages and developing young adults is a rewarding and satisfying experience.

We meet first Tuesday of the month at Rosie's Tea Rooms in The Sefton Meadows Garden Centre
Where we cover?
The Maghull District we cover includes Aintree, Maghull, Lydiate, Melling & Kirkby
though we are happy for anybody to come and become a member where ever you are. If you are unable to join our club but still want to be of service then there will be a Lions club near you.
To join the Maghull Lions Club you don't actually need to live in Aintree, Maghull, Lydiate, Melling or Kirkby to be part of us!

If you think that Maghull and District Lions might be able to help you or your organisation, perhaps financially or with our presence at one of your events, then please feel free to approach our committee.

Don't worry about confidentiality, all the members of the committees are trained in how to deal with any matters which may be confidential. Your name and personal details will not be shared outside the committee.
Clubs, Societies Groups
However, if it is a club or other organisation who are looking for some additional bodies to assist with marshalling, car parking or similar activities at your events please feel free to contact our President, secretary or committee member and discuss what we might be able to offer.
Alternatively your organisation maybe looking for some financial assistance for an upcoming project or activity if so then again contact us, we may be able to assist.
Other Lions Clubs in the Area
Lions International is exactly what it says - there are Lions Clubs all over the world and Maghull & District Lions Club is part of that international service fellowship. In the area there are other Lions clubs serving other parts of Merseyside and West Lancashire.

If one of the other clubs is nearer to you then of course you can join that one BUT we'd love you to come and join our newly formed club serving Melling, Aintree, Kirkby, Lydiate and Maghull.
